Targeting marketing services and candidate attraction

Case Study UBS

About UBS

UBS, originally from Switzerland, now provide financial advice and solutions to private, institutional and corporate clients around the world. The organisation separates themselves into four divisions which focus on Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management and Investment Banking.

The Problem

UBS’s London were looking for additional help in fulfilling candidate vacancies in Operations and Risk. With long standing knowledge of which candidates provide the greatest success to the business, specific criteria were required in targeting, and a partner who could provide that level of targeting too.

STEM subjects were key in the candidate’s skills arsenal due to the role types involved and those in the immediate vicinity to the premises were key for accessibility. Large scale attraction wasn’t an issue for UBS, but new means were required for this level of specificity.

The Solution

GetMyFirstJob.co.uk by TheTalentPeople would provide the ideal setting for this campaign with a bespoke landing page and posted vacancies providing the foundation for targeting marketing services and candidate attraction.

With access to almost 30 criteria elements per candidate and a database of 614,000 profiles, GetMyFirstJob also offered the most accessible and specific means of targeting for the project. A targeted email was sent to candidates with STEM subjects in year 13 of school, within 5 miles of central London and refined to include only those individuals that have been active with GetMyFirstJob in the last 6 months. This allowed UBS to tap into the most engaged and accurate representation of their ideal candidate.

The Result

The most successful email performance ever for a client project were recorded, hitting over 65% in open rates and over 9% in clicks. A campaign that targeted only 235 candidates in total achieved 93 applications in total – a testament to the quality and relevance of the marketing materials and the depth of targeting implemented.
